چکیده

The operation of vapor compression cycles at varying orientation with respect to gravity has rarely been investigated, except in a few studies preparing refrigeration for space applications. While two-phase flow inclined tubes is an active field research, the translation findings systems, such as cycle, unclear. For example, common hypothesis that independent under high refrigerant velocities not validated systems. In this paper, test stand investigate inclination dependence cycle described and system level indicator presented decreases increasing mass flux until 10 kg/(m2 ∙ s) evaporator. higher rates, shows constant dependence. Additionally, it shown intensity liquid flooding suction line due increases charge.

A Dynamic Model Of A Vapor Compression Liquid Chiller

Dynamic models of vapor compression systems are important tools for HVAC engineers in the development and evaluation feedback control and fault detection and diagnostic (FDD) algorithms. Significant literature exists on dynamic models of vapor compression systems. Much of it is restricted to air-to-air systems and few papers deal with liquid chillers. Most of existing liquid chiller models revi...

A review of on-chip micro-evaporation: Experimental evaluation of liquid pumping and vapor compression driven cooling systems and control

Thermal designers of data centers and server manufacturers are showing a greater concern regarding the cooling of the new generation data centers, which consume considerably more electricity and dissipate much more waste heat, a situation that is creating a re-thinking about the most effective cooling systems for the future beyond conventional air cooling of the chips/servers. A potential signi...

Liquid - Vapor Equilibrium/Distillation

Background The volatility of a compound is its ability to change into a vapor, or to evaporate at a particular temperature and pressure. The normal boiling point of a liquid usually allows comparison of its volatility to other materials, with lower boiling points indicating greater volatility, but this may be affected somewhat by the presence of other materials. Comparison of the concentration ...

Resistive Liquid-Vapor Surface Sensors for Liquid Nitrogen and Hydrogen

Ten resistance thermometers were tested as point sensors for detecting the liquid-vapor interface in liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen. Test results showed that most could be made to detect the liquid surface and lead orientation can be important. A silicon resistive sensor had the fastest response and produced the greatest signal change.

Prediction of Vapor-Liquid Equilibria Using CEOS /GE Models

The present study investigates the use of different GE mixing rules in cubic equations of state for prediction of phase behavior of multicomponent hydrocarbon systems. To predict VLE data in multicomponent symmetric and asymmetric mixtures such as systems that contain light gases (nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.) and heavy hydrocarbons, the SRK equation of state has been combined with excess Gib...
